From Illinois Digital Archives (info provided by Libertyville-Mundelein Historical Society and Cook Memorial Public Library) "Henry and Ethel Baer purchased this business in1939; at that time it was the Libertyville Home Laundry, Inc. The Baers changed the name in 1953. Services included pickup and delivery of laundry and dry cleaning. Customers could also choose to drop off and pick up laundry at their convenience. The location close to the railroad station made this a popular practice."
